It’s Friday in Antrim County, and Brandon, Carrie, and Matt are back.
This episode is a bit of a wild ride, fueled by Iraqi energy drinks and the kind of "random thoughts" you only get from a crew of Army, Air Force, and Navy vets hanging out together.
We’re covering the stuff that actually matters to you, even if it’s a bit frustrating—like the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund (MVTF) lifetime limits and why it feels like the state is making it harder to get financial help. We also dive into a massive Supreme Court win for veteran education that could let you use both your Montgomery and Post-9/11 GI Bills.
But it’s not all paperwork and regulations. We’re also talking about:
Local Wins: A huge shout-out to Jared Hendris for opening Reds Wellness LLC, a new veteran-owned gym coming to Mancelona.
Health & Support: Breaking down the Compact Act and the 988 hotline, because nobody should have to figure out a crisis on their own.
The "1900s": Why the kids today make us feel ancient for being born at the end of the last century.
At the end of the day, we’re here because if a veteran walks in needing help, we’re going to help them out—period. Whether you're here for the benefits updates or just to hear Brandon get "jacked up on Mountain Dew," we're glad you're listening.
Join us next week for more updates and probably more random tangents.
